Apiary Sells Native Plants



Shana Sabbath, staff within the Public Policy Department, collects the plants that she plans to purchase yesterday at the Apiary's annual plant sale. Her purchase will be added to funds for projects to grow more plants native to the area. (Inside the Shell/Michael-Ann Henry)



The University and an organization called Chesapeake Natives opens up to possible customers about each plant and the purpose of the sale. Chesapeake Natives is an organization dedicated to growing plants that naturally grow in Maryland. (Inside The Shell/ Michael-Ann Henry)

Each plant stands with a description of how to take care of it and its characteristics.The plants available were grown within the University greenhouse without genetic modification or fertilizer. (Inside The Shell/Michael-Ann Henry)
