When the Smoke Clears: Evaluating UMD's Smoking Policy

In September of the 2011 fall semester, the University of Maryland increased the distance at which smokers would have to stand away from buildings from 15 ft to 25ft. According to administration, the main reason from updating the policy was to make UMD more of a "green campus". Students and staff give their thoughts of the policy.
